Catholic Church of St. Ann Master Plan and Design The goal was to analyze the church’s existing facilities and to provide preliminary design services including a new Master Plan, nave renovations, new narthex and youth center additions. Sizemore Group provided a detailed report that summarized the findings and recommendations of collaborative efforts of technical assessment and the parish consensus.  The technical assessment involved architects and engineers interviewing key operations personnel for recommendations on future needs. The collaborative efforts of the parish involved assemblies, surveys, questionnaires and various interviews of the ministry leadership including the Pastor and liturgical consultant. Once funding capacity for the next five to ten years is determined, Sizemore Group will work with the church leadership to review the priorities set forth by the parish community. “‘Different hearts, different lives, one in the name of God; different hurts, different needs, we are one body, one in the name of our God…’ These lyrics to a song we often use best describe who we are and why our church facility is so important to our family of parishioners. Though we all lead different lives, we all come together as one family each week. Spelman College “The Suites” Student Housing and Dining Hall

Spelman College “The Suites” Student Housing and Dining Hall The project reflects the high standards set by Spelman College with a facility incorporating quality spaces and finishes. It is integrated into the setting of the adopted Master Plan by incorporating outdoor spaces addressing the proposed College Green, the Sculpture Plaza and Arts Center. The complex also includes a Dining Hall, a private Dining Room, Visitor’s Suites and two levels of covered parking. The Housing Tower provides student suites with spacious bedrooms, kitchenettes and living rooms. Each floor also includes Study Halls and a Recreational Lounge, vending area and ample storage that creates an above average student housing environment. It also includes a Lobby geared toward the display of art. This facility employs LEED design principles as urban infill, energy recovery units and a proposed green roof. The Suites at Spelman College have become the first residence hall at a historically Black college or university to attain the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification through the U.S. Green Building Council. City of Riverdale Community Center The image of the City of Riverdale is to be progressive with a new original architectural character by Sizemore Group. The Civic Center includes a new City Hall, Community Center (including gymnasium and dance studio), and the Amphitheater constitutes about 15 acres. The large recreation space doubles as a performance space for 1,000 people. A large divisible meeting space spills out onto an elevated terrace. The Community Center and City Hall are the edges of an amphitheater with an interactive fountain. “We first selected The Sizemore Group after watching them help transform the City of Smyrna into what it is today, and we knew that we needed the same type of catalytic project. We not only wanted our buildings to make a statement, we also needed them to be LEED certified, help the city address utility costs and conserve water, and provide very specific functions. Dekalb Academy of Technology and Environment Gym, Cafeteria and Classroom Addition

Dekalb Academy of Technology and Environment Gym, Cafeteria and Classroom Addition DATE moved into three different leased facilities during the school’s brief three year history. Sizemore Group showed them that it was possible to purchase their existing building, to increase the number of K-8 home room classrooms, and to add science labs, a cafeteria, and a gymnasium at a carrying cost which they could afford. Initial sketches showed the Board and the Parents that it was possible to achieve their dreams. The time line was also incredibly compact because of the financing time line, and the need to purchase the building before their option ran out. Sizemore Group put together a Design-Build team who worked together under the compact time frame to allow the interior renovations to be completed during the summer months, and the support spaces in the addition to be complete soon after. The addition is a low energy, low maintenance, fully daylighted building. Hapeville Charter Career Academy High School Building This facility is the first non-profit owned Charter Career Academy in Georgia. It was designed as a LEED building to be built in eight months, from “we need a building but we don’t have a site”, to move-in with all the furniture and technology needed for a future oriented course of study. The Ninth Grade Academy (15,000 sf) was the first element of Hapeville Charter Career Academy’s High School. It was also one of the first five charter academy’s to receive a grant for construction from the State of Georgia. The Ninth Grade Academy was converted into an Eighth Grade Academy as part of a second phase of construction including a larger, 55,000 s.f. high school building. Five areas of professional certifications are provided in conjunction with Atlanta Technical College including Avionics Technician, Paralegal, Patient Care Assisting, Dental Assisting and Front-end Alignment / Brakes / Steering Systems. “When we first began with Sizemore, we hadn’t even selected a location yet. University of Georgia Terry College of Business Renovation Terry College of Business’ new 21,000 sf facility at One Live Oak Center in Buckhead houses several key components for the College: The first floor consists of Offices and Classrooms for the College’s Executive MBA Program, including smaller break-out spaces where students can get together to work on real-world problems assigned by the faculty.  Each Executive Classroom contains state-of-the-art voice, data and A/V technology allowing classes to be recorded and archived for future use. The second floor consists of “Terry Third Thursday,” a fully-functional multipurpose space used on the third Thursday of every month for classes and other educational purposes.  Data, voice and A/V technology for this space (as well as for the rest of the facility), is accomplished via a Control Room adjacent to the Terry Third Thursday space. Emory University Goizueta Business School Expansion and Addition

Emory University Goizueta Business School Expansion and Addition Emory University needed an addition for the existing business school. Sizemore Group was able to quickly ascertain the needs of the Program and provide architectural direction. The Program was verified with a review and comparison of ‘peer’ institutions. This project has been awarded LEED Gold Certification. Designed under Emory’s core design goal of “enlightened frugality”, sustainable design concepts were only adopted where they offered a sustainable return on investment. This 90,000 gsf expansion includes office functions inherent to the Business School as well as new classrooms and offices for the Executive Education Program. Sizemore Group is the Architect of Record for this project and KMW is the Associate Architect. “The Business School expansion project and the associated site design anchored the monumental sea change for this quadrant of campus, an area that had long been considered the “outback.”  Not only did it provide a new campus green and gathering place defined by building edges open and porous, it was also inviting and accessible to the surrounding communities of people. Hapeville Charter Career Academy High School Building This facility is the first non-profit owned Charter Career Academy in Georgia. It was designed as a LEED building to be built in eight months, from “we need a building but we don’t have a site”, to move-in with all the furniture and technology needed for a future oriented course of study. The Ninth Grade Academy (15,000 sf) was the first element of Hapeville Charter Career Academy’s High School. It was also one of the first five charter academy’s to receive a grant for construction from the State of Georgia. The Ninth Grade Academy was converted into an Eighth Grade Academy as part of a second phase of construction including a larger, 55,000 s.f. high school building. Five areas of professional certifications are provided in conjunction with Atlanta Technical College including Avionics Technician, Paralegal, Patient Care Assisting, Dental Assisting and Front-end Alignment / Brakes / Steering Systems. “When we first began with Sizemore, we hadn’t even selected a location yet.
