Located adjacent to Downtown Oxford, Oxford College faces the challenges and opportunities of similar settings:  boundaries that are shared with neighborhoods and other institutions, aging physical assets and a need to accommodate growth. This comprehensive project and process was conducted in coordination with the City of Oxford’s planning efforts.

The proposed plan builds on reinforcing some of the original planning principles and spaces, maintaining the core of the campus and careful consideration of sustainable practices. The Scope of Work included:

  • Assessment of the land use.
  • Codification of land use to reflect environmental criteria.
  • Integration of the Space Program and Facilities Assessments done by others.
  • Developing physical options with corresponding phasing and cost.
