The Riverdale Amphitheater was designed as the central green space for the Riverdale Civic Center on Church Street. The Civic Center, which includes a new City Hall, Community Center and the Amphitheater, constitutes about 15 acres.
The Amphitheater, covering 45,000 square feet (1 acre) provides a foreground for both the civic buildings and acts as an actively-used public space for concerts and community events. An integral piece of the Amphitheater design is an interactive fountain that makes the Riverdale Civic Center a destination place for adults and children alike.
Riverdale Town Center was Awarded Silver in the 2013 Brick in Architecture Awards by the Brick Industry Association.
