Southern Polytechnic State University Master Plan, Update & Housing Studies In 2006, SPSU engaged Sizemore Group to do a comprehensive Master Plan update that integrated the adoption of a new Strategic Plan and created a ten year vision. The proposed solution integrated efforts to develop a new entrance on the north end of campus and property acquired on the west side. The overall direction was to add 800,000 gsf of academic support, 1400 beds and 2500 parking. Clark Atlanta University Master Plan & Update Located in Downtown Atlanta, Clark Atlanta University faces the challenges of most urban institutions: boundaries that are not contiguous, limited open land as well as aging facilities and infrastructure. It has key opportunities such as access to mass transportation and collaborations with surrounding institutions of the Atlanta University Center. The proposed solution focused on developing “infill” sites in order to accommodate future academics, student services, assembly and residential needs. Key implementation strategy adopted by the institution is an aggressive renovation program and a complete overhaul of their central plant.
