City of Duluth Town Green & Festival Center

City of Duluth Town Green & Festival Center Nestled in Gwinnett County in Northeast Georgia, Duluth was experiencing the economic benefits due to its close proximity to the thriving metropolis of Atlanta.  However, with its downtown virtually extinct, Duluth was in dire need of an identity. Sizemore Group was hired to Master Plan and Design a new Town Center that included a new Amphitheater, City Hall and Law Enforcement Facility. The Pavilion was designed for community events, concerts and theater productions.  Two community rooms flank the stage and provide conditional space for a wide variety of events.  The upstairs is rented for private events to help generate revenue.  In addition, the stage is sized to accommodate a 50-member orchestra. The Amphitheater seats 1,500 persons, while the Town Green supports up to a crowd of 15,000. 1996 Centennial Olympic Park Master Plan

1996 Centennial Olympic Park Master Plan Sizemore Group was asked by Billy Payne to provide a design for the downtown park to host the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games.  The goal was to create a vision that would engage the community and become a tool for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. The results? A legacy for the games and a park which attracts thousands of tourists per year. The design and subsequent development spawned over one billion dollars in further development. Sizemore Group led the design team whose responsibility included master planning and programming efforts for the park and festival areas with 100,000 sf of sponsor villages. The project will serve as a long-term plan for the City of Atlanta and included a major addition for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce – the signature building fronting the Park. Emory University Oxford College Master Plan Located adjacent to Downtown Oxford, Oxford College faces the challenges and opportunities of similar settings:  boundaries that are shared with neighborhoods and other institutions, aging physical assets and a need to accommodate growth.
